The Commoners - Lost In The Highlights (2026)
Driven by its riffs and a catchy chorus, Lost In The Highlights captures the world of The Commoners, between raw southern rock, soul and blues. The lyrics explore the path between doubt and determination, and the song has everything it takes to become a live favourite.
Mixed by Kevin Shirley, known for his work with Led Zeppelin and Joe Bonamassa among others, this second single from their upcoming third studio album was released on 23 October 2026 via Gipsy Soul Records, distributed by Bertus. It will speak to fans of The Black Crowes, Blackberry Smoke and The Sheepdogs, and comes with a video.
The band will take it on the road in November 2026 with a UK tour that includes Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham and London’s Dingwalls.
About the band
Hailing from Toronto, The Commoners are a five-piece moving between modern blues and roots rock. High-energy riffs, soulful vocals and rich harmonies: the band offers its own take on a tried and true recipe and invites listeners on a journey to the heart of southern rock. United by the wish to pay genuine tribute to the legends who paved the way, they blend rhythms inspired by the Motown groove masters with vocals reminiscent of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, for a sound firmly rooted in the present.
The Commoners are Chris Medhurst (vocals, guitar), Ross Citrullo (lead guitar), Ben Spiller (bass), Miles Evan Branagh (keyboards) and Adam Cannon (drums).
