A message that goes unanswered, an email you are still waiting to hear back from, someone who suddenly stops getting in touch for no apparent reason: everyone has been there. That simple situation is where Give Me A Shout begins, a song of revolt that is not about revolution. Just that feeling of being fed up, the frustration of getting no reply and, deep down, the urge to make your voice heard.

As with the rest of its songs, SINEAD is careful not to impose a single reading. The track deliberately leaves the door open to a broader interpretation, so that everyone can make it their own and project their own story onto it. Musically, alongside Get Up, it is one of the two most direct and rock-driven tracks on the EP, the ones that mark the evolution of the band’s sound.

Born in October 2024 as a simple home-studio demo, the song found a first shape that all three members loved within a few days, before being set aside for several months. Work resumed in spring 2025 to bring it into the summer shows: as is often the case with SINEAD, the track matured on stage, in front of an audience. Written well after the other songs, it was not originally planned for the EP, but its live outings made its place on Ixora obvious. The final stages of its creation can be seen in Entre Nous, the band’s documentary, and the track also comes with an official music video.

About the band

Formed in 2022 in the Mauges area of Maine-et-Loire, western France, after various earlier projects, SINEAD is a trio that writes and performs its own songs, blending rock energy, pop melodies and major influences from English-language rock. Drawing on eclectic listening, from rock to contemporary pop by way of more electric inspirations, the band shapes a modern, energetic and accessible world.

After the singles Time Bomb and Hold On in 2025, followed by Daily Dreams, SINEAD brought these three tracks together with two new songs, Give Me A Shout and Get Up, on its debut EP, Ixora, released on 27 February 2026. The project comes with Entre Nous, a documentary covering more than two years of creative work, premiered at a film-concert on 7 March at the Jeanne d’Arc cinema in Beaupréau.
