According to the duo, Do Not Believe grew out of a need “to disobey yourself”, to silence the voices telling us who to be and how to live. It is a song about urgency: taking back the reins of your own life before it is too late, in a world where everything can tip over and hope can be wiped out in an instant. No easy redemption, no ready-made happy ending, just the raw decision to reclaim your place.

The track was started in 2025, while Vol. 3 was not yet finished, and echoes what the band has been going through: “never believe those who promise you the moon” and find strength in the people who take the trouble to get to know you. Loïs Verne wrote, composed, recorded and mixed it on their own. Released in autumn 2026, this single is the first taste of their debut album.

About the band

Where pop meets rock influences, Loïs Verne is a duo from Amiens, France, that fully embraces the range of its style, “from darkness to light”, and is known for the fervour of its live shows. Launched in October 2021 with the single Shadow, the band released a trilogy of EPs (Vol. 1 in 2022, Vol. 2 in 2023, then a more openly rock Vol. 3 in 2025). A favourite of France Bleu Picardie’s “La Nouvelle Scène” show and selected for the Bands Camp Académie, the duo has played many festivals in the region (Pic’Arts, Ahuri Sound Festival, Retro C Trop…) and gave its first Paris show at La Dame de Canton in 2025.
