About the Group

Based in Paris, the group consists of two members: Josselin Syllard and Daniel Wertheim. It's 1990, the Nirvana wave has not yet taken over the airwaves; hard rock, punk, and metal are active only within a small community and have not yet caught the interest of the general public (AC/DC is not yet played at parties).

Both born in the same year and attending high school just a few streets apart, they became friends and formed Reloo Garoo with two other companions. Rehearsals, concerts, self-produced recordings... The group built a solid repertoire of French songs, while the trend of the time was already leaning towards the American dream. A few years later, rock had become totally obsolete, even tacky in Paris: rap and electro dominated the airwaves, DJs overshadowed bands, and venues only welcomed quiet acoustic acts. Tired of this dead-end situation, the group members finally called it quits in 2008.

Life had other plans. Daniel and Josselin felt that something was missing, and the tide seemed to be turning; the most sophisticated machines could not compete with a well-rehearsed band. People seemed to appreciate screaming into a microphone again, so why not dive back in? They returned to the studio and put together a new repertoire, ready to rock with their motto: "Just a beer on a Marshall and we're set."
