Some songs take their time to draw you in before hitting you head-on. No Needs To Know is one of them. With this track, CRIMSON EFFECT plays on two fronts: on one side, soaring guitars and a psychedelic haze that stretches out unhurried; on the other, a pounding rhythm section that ramps up the pressure bar after bar.

The song stays airy while growing heavy and massive, never letting the tension drop. That balance between punk energy and psychedelic textures sums up the DNA of the Reims trio, somewhere between Slift, Mad Foxes and Idles.

Recorded at La Cartonnerie and Le Ludoval in Reims, No Needs To Know appears on TWO, a double single released on 3 September 2026, a little under nine months after the band’s debut EP, Dawn. The track can also be discovered as a live session: a good way to gauge the intensity of a band that has made the stage its playground.

About the band

Formed in September 2024, CRIMSON EFFECT brings together Paul, Antoine and Pierre around a psych post-punk sound that is both punchy and hypnotic, swinging between punk energy and psychedelic textures. On stage, the trio relies on an intense, immersive presence, where every show hits like a blast.

Supported by La Cartonnerie in Reims since its beginnings, the band quickly worked its way through the city’s bars and venues, wrapping up 2025 on the Club stage at La Cartonnerie. Recorded in summer 2025, its debut EP Dawn came out on 16 January 2026 and was played live at the Supersonic in Paris and in La Cartonnerie’s main hall, opening for Les Wampas. With TWO, the Reims trio is now ready to hit the road.
