BYE BOY - What About The Rain (2026)
It all starts here. What About The Rain is the very first song written by Antoine, singer-guitarist and founder of BYE BOY, so it is only fitting that it kicks things off: the band’s debut single, released on 3 April 2026, marks their arrival on the independent rock scene. A ballad both rocking and melancholic, it immediately confirms the band’s knack for writing songs that feel as modern as they are timeless.
Simple, effective and genuine, the track goes straight for the essentials: melodies that hook you from the first listen and an instantly recognisable vocal, carried by a blazing voice. Enough to plunge the listener back into teenage feelings, where nostalgia meets an urge to fight back. You can hear the British heritage the band proudly claims, with the power of Oasis anthems at the top of the list.
Anti Adult
What About The Rain paved the way for Anti Adult, BYE BOY’s debut EP, released on 15 May 2026. Six rock-pop tracks with gripping melodies, made entirely independently, from the recording to the roller-skating cover shot, yet showing a remarkably assured production. Alongside What About The Rain, Don’t Stay and Fucking Night embrace the same British-inspired melodic rock, while Lise, the second single, reveals another side with equally incisive French-language songwriting. The band celebrated the release with a headline show at L’Alimentation Générale in Paris on 27 May.
About the band
Somewhere between cocaine and grenadine, BYE BOY is the project of Antoine Finos, launched in 2024 as a reaction to entering the working world and the end of a certain carefree youth. After winning several band contests and playing gig after gig in the South of France and then around Paris during his studies, Antoine quit his office job to pursue one goal: playing rock.
As an answer to adult life, BYE BOY is a display of eternal adolescence and furious melancholy. Rock-pop with British and French accents, fuelled by Oasis, Cage the Elephant and The Vaccines. With Clara on guitar, Léa on bass and Hugo on drums, the band unleashes a live rock that is as punchy as it is intoxicating.
