Black Iris, an alternative rock band from the Île-de-France region, delivers here one of their most intimate and abrasive tracks—a blend of smoldering tension and electric explosion.

About the Band

Black Iris was born in Seine-et-Marne in 2019, rising from the ashes of a former metal project. Pierre-Yves (vocals, lyrics) and Bertrand (composition, bass) decided to start from scratch: a new style, a new method, a new artistic direction. Quickly joined by Jean-Patrice (drums), Benoît, and David (guitars), they formed an alternative French rock quintet, inspired by grunge, ’90s rock, and raw poetry.

In 2021, their EP L’Éclipse laid the foundation: a powerful sound, lyrics rooted in themes of collapse, climate, luminous disaster, and punchy riffs. The music video for SOLARIS left a mark. The band toured relentlessly: File7, Aix-les-Bains, Tancrou, Mennecy, Empreinte... Nearly 100 concerts since their debut.

Their first album, Le Souffle, released in January 2025, solidifies their identity: nine tracks like an inner scream, between electric tension and dark poetry. The audience connects, the press follows, and international doors open (Brazil, Korea, Germany...).

On stage, Black Iris is a controlled storm—between rock rage and raw emotion. Their strength: sincerity. And a powerful, accessible, hard-hitting French sound.

Their music doesn’t chase trends. It chases the heart. It speaks to souls. And on stage, it lifts them up.
