Armless Skaters - 16 bit (2025)

With "16 BIT", the band delivers a love story that feels more like a glitchy game of Tetris than a romantic stroll. It flickers, it crackles, it lags at times, but you just can’t let go of the controller—you want to see where it goes, even if it means losing all your lives. Released on January 10, 2025, the track is a burst of retro energy and pixelated emotions. And as if that weren’t enough, the DIY-style video catapults it all into an arcade universe, with the band goofing around between 8-bit sets. Spoiler: you’ll laugh just as hard as they do watching it.

Sound-wise, it’s 100% homemade: recorded in the home studio of Remo Spezza, their drummer-producer-jack-of-all-trades genius, then mixed by Rom Tomcat (the guy who can turn any punk riff into a hit machine), before heading to England for mastering at Grant / FADER MASTERING. The result? A single that grooves, hits hard, and flickers like a dying arcade cabinet. "16 BIT" is the glitched romance you don’t want to fix because it’s too beautiful in its chaos.

About the Band

Hailing from La Louvière, Belgium, the Armless Skaters burst onto the scene in 2018 like three escapees from a psychiatric hospital, determined to turn their wildest delusions into decibels. Adrien, Jean, and Seb craft songs that reek of 90s alternative rock, before recruiting Remo, an Italian immigrant, former pizza chef, and part-time drummer. His first snare hit marked the start of a beautiful adventure.

Their playground? The melodic punk rock of the 90s and early 2000s—the kind that inspired a whole generation with bands like Blink 182, Green Day, and Good Charlotte. While the four don’t always share the same musical tastes, they bond over raw energy, catchy choruses, and a desire to take on the world with humor rather than seriousness. Since then, every rehearsal turns into a party, and every concert into organized chaos. The Armless Skaters are all about biting guitars, infectious choruses, and above all, a group of friends who take wicked pleasure in doing nothing “by the book.”
