"Révérence" is a major track from their first concept album, a dystopian odyssey where humanity is subjected to an omnipresent artificial intelligence. This piece marks a key moment in the narrative: when Monkey Leo, the protagonist we follow throughout the album, exhausted by the struggle against a dehumanizing technological society, chooses to let go. After confronting the illusion of progress, digital solitude, and the grip of an AI as seductive as it is tyrannical, he takes his bow.

With its lucid and disenchanted lyrics, the track conveys the hero's inner shift: he prefers to remain silent rather than participate in the surrounding hypocrisy, to withdraw rather than betray his convictions. The "dove" that escapes, the "vultures," and the "tired kid" sketch a picture of resignation, whose gravity contrasts with the melancholic sweetness of the music.

But in this acknowledged defeat, a spark remains: hitting rock bottom to rise again. For after "Révérence," the album glimpses a possible resurgence. This track, far from being an end, becomes the silence before the revolt.

About the band

Algorythme was born from an unexpected reunion at a train station between Pascal and Elodie, former members of the band Osm’oZ. Quickly, the idea of a new project took shape. Pascal picked up the guitar and composition again, working on a conceptual set where man, robot, and AI take turns through the lyrics, exploring the promises, excesses, and absurdities of our connected era.

The duo surrounded themselves with Antoine on drums and Denis on bass and double bass. The group quickly found its balance, and the chemistry was immediate. Rehearsals followed one after another, the unique identity of the group took shape, and Algorythme's universe was confirmed: a progressive influence, a meticulously crafted groove, raw energy, incisive rhythms, soaring melodies, and finely crafted lyrics, between poetry and clarity.
