Bitume Prods

A French non-profit rock and metal label with its own press relations service.

For around ten years, Bitume Prods has been championing rock and metal bands from France and beyond as a non-profit association, releasing them on CD, vinyl, cassette and digital. The label is celebrating with Bitume Profond, a compilation in which 21 bands each rework a track from its catalogue. It has also released tribute albums to Failure (Planète Magnifiée) and Gruntruck (Inside Machine).

Its roster spans post-rock and progressive rock, noise, sludge and stoner, progressive metal and alternative rock: pilotinthepicture, Diego Annuitti, Oöhna Call, Heckel & Jeckel, Embertears, Sastruggi, Misty Route and Cruenta Venganza.

Through Bitume Press Relations, run by José Vasseur, the label also promotes its releases to the media.

Mescalina now publishes reviews in partnership with Bitume Prods. You’ll find them below.
