On 31 March 2026, the very day their single Tea Party came out, The Flynts headlined the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, a venue that sold out in two weeks. At the last minute, the four musicians decided to immortalise this one-off show by recording it without a single overdub, in the tradition of the legendary double live albums of the 70s. Tame The Flame captures the band’s raw energy on stage, where the music speaks for itself.

They are in their twenties, but their ears were raised on vinyl records thirty years older than them. “They grew up with their parents’ records and surely raided their wardrobe too!” joked MTV legend Ray Cokes when introducing them at the Classic 21 Festival. Inspired by Cream, Cactus and Free, The Flynts blend pure rock’n’roll, psychedelia and blues, joining the neo-classic rock wave of Dirty Honey, Rival Sons and Greta Van Fleet, with a modern twist: “a turntable equipped with Bluetooth”, as the band puts it.

Self-produced and distributed by Inouïe Distribution, Tame The Flame was released on 2 October 2026, along with a video for Smoke & Mirrors.

About the band

After the strong reception of their first EP, First Spark, The Flynts set stages across Belgium and France alight, from clubs to festivals such as Roots & Roses, Reflektor and Spirit of 66. In 2024 they played the Classic 21 Festival in front of 4,000 people, then teamed up with Mario Goossens (Triggerfinger) and Greg Gordon (Rival Sons, Wolfmother) to produce the single Tea Party, followed by Smoke & Mirrors.

Following the departure of Luca Galet and Boris Iwanow, Raphaël Rufo (vocals) and Gaël Thiry (drums) have welcomed Guillaume Lamont (guitar) and Matthijs Machtelinckx (bass), two well-known faces of the Belgian rock scene. The band is now preparing a new studio album under the guidance of Mario Goossens.
