Hailing from Annecy, France, The Blue Marmalades distinguished themselves from their inception with a unique musical recipe. Combining guitars with tangy notes and a solid, salty rhythmic foundation, the band offers us a sonic jam bursting with psychedelic and oriental flavors, spiced up with "bittersweet" lyrics.

The quartet explores and innovates, seeking to breathe new life into vintage rock with a touch of modernity. Their first musical treat, Inside My Brain , has been available to savor since July 19, 2024—preservative-free.

"This EP, we won’t lie to you, took us quite a bit of time and effort. First of all, because we weren’t starting entirely from scratch in terms of recording techniques—but almost (laughs). We had to set up a room in a barn kindly lent to us by Loic’s father, the bassist. We finished that in early October 2023, and then spent the entire fall and part of the winter recording whenever we could, outside of work hours. In terms of composition, however, things moved pretty quickly. Beyond the first two tracks of the EP that we composed in 2022, the other tracks took their final forms in spring/summer 2023. We played them live a couple of times before recording them. The arrangement process was also done in our home studio," the band explains.

The influences for this EP are varied: from Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin to bands like All Them Witches and King Gizzard, as well as Tool’s metal sound—there’s definitely something for everyone!
