Mixed at Studio Rec2live with François Letiec, White Noise is an album that mirrors its time and the feelings of those who wrote it. Its title says it all: the record seeks a balance between more pop rock songs, the “White” side, and sharper, more powerful tracks, the “Noise” side. Between grunge energy, punk tension and rock melodies, JOSTLE deliver a direct sound built for the stage, somewhere between Foo Fighters, The Smashing Pumpkins and Biffy Clyro.

The album features nine tracks: Black Bird, Yesterday, Brillant Eyes, White Noise, Walk Out, On The Other Side, Burning Ember, House Of Card, Reverse. It was preceded by two singles, each with its own video: Burning Ember and White Noise. Following On the Edge of Horizon (2014) and Youth Has No Age (2018), this new album marks a new step for the band, between assumed independence and sonic maturity.

About the band

Formed in Marseille in 2004, JOSTLE is a power trio drawing its energy from the roots of rock, grunge and punk. The band is made up of Anthony (guitar, vocals), Phil aka Oneshot (bass) and Tristan (drums). From the start, the trio found its place on the stages of Marseille and the south of France, with shows where the urge to play always wins. Their first EP, Reason My Mind (2005), caught the attention of the local press and took them from Montpellier to Nice, via Toulon and Monaco. With Nine by Three, the trio reached a new level: two videos, radio play in France and as far as Australia, and feedback that encouraged them to keep going.

Over the years, JOSTLE have played the Espace Julien in Marseille, L’Usine in Istres, the Jas’Rod in Les Pennes-Mirabeau, the Théâtre de Verdure in Nice and the Hard Rock Café in Paris, as well as the Parc Chanot in front of 3,000 people. Their music has been aired in France (Le Mouv’, Chérie FM, Maritima), Australia (EastSide FM), Brazil (Rádio Alternativa Rock) and England (Radio Wigman, Newfangled Radio, Raw Radio).
