The album marks a clear shift for a project that had so far combined progressive rock with melodic electronica inspired by the 1970s and 1980s. Its concept was inspired by the work of Władysław Hasior, who created multilayered compositions from seemingly incompatible fragments of reality. Six elaborate compositions run for nearly 50 minutes, from Synesthesia Imperialis to Seduced by Ambiguity, by way of His Rebirth, The Void and The Provocation ov Fate. Based on lyrics by poet Izabela Turska-Kamrowska, the songs explore everyday doubts and emotions, feelings of separation and alienation, and the search for faith and joy in everyday life.

Sławomir Nietupski (orchestrations, synthesizers, grand piano, programming) built the instrumental foundation with guitarist Michał Grall (Unblessed Divine, ex-Sinister) and bassist Artur Ołkowicz (Mechanism, Art of Illusion), while Brian Gawaski’s powerful vocals play an essential role in defining the record’s character. Guests abound: Bartłomiej Krysiuk (Patriarkh), Marc Grewe (ex-Morgoth), Sławomir “Slavo” Maryniewski (Armagedon), Yusaf Parvez (Dødheimsgard) and Snorre Ruch (Thorns) on vocals, Ryszard Kramarski (Millenium) on synthesizers, Jakub Wagner on flamenco guitar, as well as Lecia Louise, Sasha Janowicz, Joanna Zondłowska, Łukasz Kowalski, Tomasz Andrzejewski and Robert Kołakowski. Mixing and mastering are by Jakub Mańkowski (Czesław Mozil, Justyna Steczkowska, Me and That Man, Blindead); Nietupski himself handled the graphic design and the hand-painted watercolour illustrations.

The album’s second video, A Code of Equivocation, is according to Nietupski “a reflection on a world we are gradually losing and on the consequences of humanity drifting away from its origins and its connection to nature. Yet, even within this vision of fading beauty and unfolding calamity, there is still room for hope.” Assemblage of Cinematic Idioms was released on 11 September 2026 via Tangled Records on CD, LP and cassette, then on 21 September on streaming platforms.
