Ant Colony - Two Days of Thunderstorm and Rain (2026)
It all starts with an implosion. Two Days of Thunderstorm and Rain revolves around a break-up without ever revealing exactly where the crack lies: in a relationship, in a way of seeing things, in oneself or simply in the way one looks at the world. Ant Colony does not try to solve the mystery, but uses it as the starting point for an album full of tension and disillusion.
Disenchantment, collapsing certainties and a good dose of cynicism: yet the twelve songs never slip into melodrama. The band observes what is happening around it with a certain distance, like someone trying to put the pieces back in order after something has stopped working. The record follows no closed storyline and leaves each listener to fill in the missing parts.
These songs were also written for the stage, where guitars and energy are meant to carry all their tension. Released on 25 September 2026, the album comes with a video for Beg a Heart to Stay, and the band presented it live at Sala Vol in Barcelona on 8 October, ahead of Sala Cadavra in Madrid on 31 October.
About the band
A Barcelona rock project led by Alberto Lozano, born in 2000 in Martorell, Ant Colony grew out of a solo career that began with the album Out There for You to See. Its influences range from the Beatles, the Kinks and the Hollies to Arctic Monkeys and Oasis, with a strong taste for 1960s rock.
On stage, Alberto Lozano (vocals, rhythm guitar) is joined by Toni Torres (lead guitar), Natan Arbo (bass), Nil Bribian (drums) and Adrià Bravo (keyboards, rhythm guitar).
